Join Our Production Team

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Malting Shift Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our malting operation, where you will help ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will operate and monitor plant equipment throughout the malting process, maintain excellent hygiene standards, support continuous improvement activities, and help ensure the site remains audit-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate production plant and equipment across the malting process.

• Ensure production activities are completed in line with schedules and quality requirements.

• Use control systems (SCADA) to monitor plant performance and respond to any issues.

• Complete accurate production records and controlled documentation.

• Carry out routine inspections, checks, cleaning, and housekeeping activities.

• Support autonomous maintenance activities and report equipment issues promptly.

• Ensure high standards of food, feed, environmental, and health & safety compliance.

• Work closely with colleagues across production, engineering, quality, logistics, and other departments.

• Conduct effective shift handovers and communicate operational issues clearly.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and maintaining excellent site standards.

• Provide cover and flexibility across shifts when required.
