Our Stowmarket site is one of the most advanced maltings in the UK, recognised for its high standards, sustainability focus and strong team culture.

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on Harvest Operative to support our Intake Team during the busy harvest period. This is a 3‑month temporary role, ideal for someone seeking summer work who enjoys practical tasks in a fast‑paced operational environment.

You’ll play an important part in ensuring grain intake runs smoothly and meets our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sampling incoming lorries and checking grain against malting quality standards

  • Supporting intake hygiene and maintaining clean, safe working areas

  • Liaising with the grain team regarding deliveries and load information

  • Testing harvest samples and recording basic results on spreadsheets

  • Assisting the intake team with general operational tasks during peak periods

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive, practical and reliable attitude

  • Good communication skills and a team‑focused approach

  • Willingness to follow procedures and complete training

  • Ability to work in a physical, fast‑paced environment

  • Previous harvest or industrial experience is helpful but not essential
